After completing a three-year residency in anesthesiology at the world renowned Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, Dr. Milstein moved from New York City to Boca Raton, Florida, in 1993, to become part of a well established private anesthesia group. Dr. Milstein's clinical expertise flourished, earning him respect among patients and peers. Driven to make a difference in the delivery of health care, both in and outside of the operating room, Dr. Milstein served as a group practice development consultant to some high profile private equity firms and several large strategic health care companies. His success made him a sought after and trusted advisor. Parlaying his dedication to the field of anesthesiology and all he had to offer as a corporate consultant, Dr. Milstein took a decisive step and formed the Ascent Medical Group.

Currently backed by an impressive clinical team of 14 anesthesiologists and 25 certified registered nurse anesthetists, as well as a top notch management team that covers such areas as IT, billing, revenue recycle management, managed care contracting, and human resources, Dr. Milstein, as physician-operator of Ascent Medical Group, understands what it takes to attract talented staff.
